What Is a Transfer Student?
We define a transfer student as anyone who’s previously earned college credit from an accredited two- or four-year college/university after graduating from high school.
A student enrolling to Rasmussen College with college credit earned while attending high school is not considered a transfer student, but, rather, a new, incoming student.
Do You Have Potential Transfer Credits? Send Them Over!
National Student Clearinghouse
If you have potential transfer credits, the coursework will first need to be reviewed. In order to get coursework reviewed, you must request that official transcripts be sent directly to Rasmussen College. You will receive email notifications alerting you when your transcripts are received and credits post to your account.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all official transcripts have been received by the College. Additional evaluations may apply.
Many colleges work with the National Student Clearinghouse, a secure 24/7 online order system, to help you order and process transcript requests. Click on the button below if you're ready to request your transcript.
Can't Find What You're Looking For?
Every institution is different and has their own process for requesting and sending transcripts. If you are having trouble finding your school or transcript on the National Student Clearinghouse website, we recommend contacting your previous school directly for more information. Or, you can contact one of our program managers to walk you through how to request your transcript and answer any other transfer policy questions you may have.
