Rasmussen College In Green Bay Lifts Spirits Of Pediatric Patients During The Holidays
College supports Hannah N'; Friends Paper Hugs, an organization that serves ailing children in Wisconsin
WHAT: In the true spirit of giving this holiday season, Rasmussen College announced its partnership with local Green Bay charity, Hannah n’ Friends Paper Hugs, to lift spirits of pediatric patients in the greater Green Bay/Appleton area. Hannah N’ Friends Paper Hugs is a charity created by fourth-grade student, Hannah Terrien, that brings cards and gifts to children in local healthcare facilities to improve the morale of unwell children.
WHO: Rasmussen College; Hannah's class along with kindergarten through second grade classes at Meadowbrook Elementary, Helen Keller and Red Smith Student Councils; and the Green Bay School District offices will be touching the lives of pediatric patients for the holidays. The Rasmussen College - Green Bay campus serves as a drop-off location for the toy drive. The College’s staff and students have collected stuffed animals over a three-week window.
WHEN: Rasmussen College and Hanna’s helpers will be making holiday cards for the pediatric patients at the area hospitals and the Children's Hospital in Appleton throughout the month of December. Monday, Dec. 19, the group will deliver gifts and cards to Appleton Children's Hospital. On Dec. 20-21, the coalition will visit local hospitals to deliver the holiday gifts.
WHY: Rasmussen College strives to serve the 22 communities in which our campuses reside. The success of this higher learning institution is deeply connected to the community it serves. The College is dedicated to helping make our communities a better place to live, grow, and learn.

ABOUT HANNAH N’ FRIENDS PAPER HUGS: This inspirational, caring and giving little second grader had the idea when she was four years old to make holiday cards for all the children in the hospital for Christmas. Her mom, Nicole, ran with her daughter’s idea and invited family and friends over for a card making party. That year they worked with the area hospitals to bring the cards and little gifts to all the pediatric patients! And so "Hannah n Friends Paper Hugs" was born.
