Rasmussen College Continues Efforts To Reduce Tuition And Make College Affordable
AcceleratED Business Management Associate's Degree and Achieve Scholarship announced for Fall 2013 Enrollment
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (August 26, 2013) – Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced two initiatives that advance its commitment to making higher education affordable for students. A new AcceleratED Business Management Associate’s Degree will be offered at a flat rate of $15,000 and can be completed in as little as 18 months. The Achieve Scholarship will offer new students enrolling in degree programs the possibility of receiving $500 per quarter toward tuition costs if students are continuously enrolled full time. Both are available to students beginning this fall, with a scholarship application deadline of September 29, 2013.

Achieve Scholarship
For new students enrolling in general degree programs (not including nursing or AcceleratED) for an October 2013 start, Rasmussen College is offering the Achieve Scholarship to help students lower their tuition amount and reduce overall student debt. The Achieve Scholarship will award $500 per quarter toward tuition costs, up to $7,500 for a Bachelor’s degree, to students who stay continuously enrolled with at least 12 credits each quarter. More information on this scholarship, including how to apply, can be found at http://www.Rasmussen.edu/achieve
“Student debt is a real problem in the U.S. and college costs are still skyrocketing, but Rasmussen College is committed to helping students find a way to manage these issues,” said Kristi Waite, Rasmussen College President. “These new programs will both significantly reduce program costs and encourage faster program completion. We are pleased to offer these opportunities to our students, moving them into their careers faster and more affordably. ”
Other College Affordability Efforts
Rasmussen College also will continue several initiatives that have already reduced the cost of earning a college degree by as much as 35 percent over last year. This includes the lowered and locked tuition announced in January 2013 and Rasmussen College’s credit transfer policy, which gives students college credit for the knowledge previously gained in courses at other colleges and work experience. Last year, Rasmussen College helped students transfer in credits worth approximately $95 million.
