Rasmussen College Now Enrolling At Two New Campuses In Kansas
Enrollment underway in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas for spring 2013
Overland Park, Kan. (Jan. 31, 2013) – Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited post-secondary institution of higher education, is now enrolling students at its two new campuses in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Classes will begin on both campuses in spring 2013.
“Rasmussen College is excited to bring our decades of history and a wealth of educational opportunities to the residents of Topeka and Overland Park,” said Kevon Abshier, Campus Director Rasmussen College Kansas Market. “We are honored to now be a part of these communities and excited to have our campuses open to students.”
Founded in 1900 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Rasmussen College is a private college that offers more than 80 market-relevant and career-focused programs at the certificate, diploma, associate’s and bachelor’s degree level both online and across its 24 campuses in the Midwest and Florida. With a mission dedicated to serving communities by recognizing the diverse needs of individuals, Rasmussen College is committed to preparing students to be active, productive and successful contributors to the global community. Currently, Rasmussen College enrolls more than 14,000 students nationwide.
In order to help students maximize the value of their academic investment, Rasmussen College locks in tuition rates for students who are continuously enrolled. The guarantee of a consistent cost per credit will help students understand and plan for the total cost of their degrees. It is also an incentive for students to stay enrolled, a critical element in on-time graduation, which also helps minimize education debt.
“We are focused on making sure our students receive the greatest return on their academic investment, and that includes implementing programs like our tuition lock that helps students better plan for the cost of obtaining their degree,” said Jay Buchholz, Associate Campus Director Rasmussen College Overland Park Campus. “We want our students to be successful after graduation, and helping create financial stability is a part of that.”
Rasmussen College has also been recognized for its Support+ network of student support services, designed to better meet the needs of incoming and current students in achieving their educational and career goals. Support+ is available to all students at no additional cost and consists of program managers, financial aid advisors, 24/7 technical assistance, academic tutoring, industry-experienced instructors, career service advisors and a portfolio of other services customized to help students achieve academic and career success. Incoming students not yet enrolled at Rasmussen College will also have access to these services during their decision-making and enrollment process.
“Everything we do at Rasmussen College is centered around making sure our students are successful – from Support+ to our hands-on learning model and laddered curriculum. We are just excited and proud to bring this proven track record of student success to Kansas and become a true community partner,” said Abshier.
The Rasmussen College Overland Park campus is located at 11600 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kan. The Topeka campus is located at 620 SW Governor View, Topeka, Kan.
