MINNEAPOLIS (November 25, 2014)–Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, announced today its Health Information Management (HIM) Bachelor’s degree program has earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). CAHIIM is an independent accrediting organization whose mission is to “serve the public interest by establishing and enforcing quality accreditation standards for health informatics and health information management educational programs.” The accreditation provides certification eligibility and increased job marketability for graduates and demonstrates the Rasmussen College commitment to providing the highest-quality education possible for its HIM students.

The fully online Health Information Management Bachelor’s degree program at Rasmussen College prepares students to further their career as a manager of health information systems in a broad range of healthcare settings. The program can be completed in as few as 18 months while a virtual lab environment and two professional practice experiences guide students through challenging, relevant and real-world scenarios.
