MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (August 4, 2011) – Rasmussen College, a leading provider of high quality, career-focused education, today announced it is sponsoring CPR classes for the public through a partnership with In-Pulse CPR, a multi-state, American Heart Association-authorized provider of CPR and ECC courses. The one-day, four-hour classes will held throughout the next six months at Rasmussen College’s Minnesota college campuses in Blaine, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Eagan, Lake Elmo/Woodbury, Mankato and St. Cloud.
Course cost is $60.00, and no prior first aid knowledge is needed. For a full listing of class times and locations, or to register for a class, visit www.inpulsecpr.com/minnesota.
Recommended as an invaluable skill for any adult, CPR training is required in many jobs such as lifeguards, daycare professionals, nursing home workers, and dental or medical office staff. In-Pulse CPR’s classes qualify students for the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR certification, good for two years.
“CPR training is one of the most important skills anyone can master. Whether you’re a babysitter, office or factory worker, Boy Scout or Girl Scout leader, youth group leader or even a grandparent, CPR training can mean all the difference when seconds count,” said Lorrie Laurin, Director of the School of Health Sciences at Rasmussen College. “It’s because CPR is so vital that we’re partnering with In-Pulse CPR to offer these classes in so many locations and at so many times. We encourage everyone to enroll—with just a few hours of training you can save a life.”
In-Pulse CPR classes use the latest equipment including Laerdal and Prestan manikins and a large selection of AED trainer models. All instructors are either EMT workers or nurses, and all are certified by the American Heart Association.
The Rasmussen/In-Pulse community CPR classes are open to both current Rasmussen students and the general public.
