Rasmussen College Launches Supply Chain and Logistics Management Scholarship
Scholarship supports College's affordability commitment with up to $4,000 toward specialized business degree
Minneapolis (August 18, 2015)–Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, recently launched the Supply Chain and Logistics Management Scholarship in an effort to make this specialized business degree more affordable and accessible to students. The scholarship, which is immediately available for new students enrolling in the Supply Chain and Logistics Management Bachelor’s degree program for fall 2015, could lower tuition by up to $4,000.*
Career Demand for Supply Chain and Logistics
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for logisticians is expected to grow 22 percent over the next 10 years, with more than 150,000 job openings. The growing supply chain and logistics business field requires employees to effectively manage, analyze and coordinate the entire life cycle of a product while contributing to business operations that improve productivity, quality and efficiency. Upon degree completion, students would be eligible to fill roles as planners, analysts and managers of inventory, transportation and operations managers.
“Rasmussen College is committed to providing students access to competitive business programs that help them develop the skills necessary to become leaders in today’s global economy,” said Brooks Doherty, Rasmussen College dean of Business and General Education. “The Supply Chain and Logistics Management Scholarship is available across all of our campus locations, extending the affordability of the bachelor’s degree-completion program.”
The Rasmussen College Supply Chain and Logistics Management Bachelor’s degree curriculum is aligned with APICS and ISM industry standards. Students who earn their bachelor’s degree and have two years of experience in the field will be eligible for the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certificate Program. The bachelor’s degree-completion program is also available with Flex Choice®, which allows students to take self-paced courses alongside their faculty-led courses at no additional cost and complete their degree in as few as 18 months.
