Rasmussen College Redesigns Technology Career-Focused Programs to Prepare Students to Work in Today's Digital Economy

“The pace of change is faster than ever in today’s digital economy. It is imperative our students are prepared to navigate evolving network issues, configure and protect priceless information and are equipped for the unpredictable future,” said Jennifer Ayotte, department dean for the School of Technology at Rasmussen College. “By redesigning these degree programs in our School of Technology, we are able to align with industry trends, focus on the importance of security and troubleshooting and better prepare students to succeed in a variety of industries requiring both business and technology skills.”

The newly redesigned Technology programs are also offered with Flex Choice^®–a more flexible and affordable learning option that allows students to combine traditional courses and self-directed assessments. All three programs can also be completed in as few as 18 months.² Enrollment is immediately available with courses beginning in October.

Network Systems Administration Associate’s Degree

The Network Systems Administration Associate’s degree program at Rasmussen College prepares students to troubleshoot and resolve network issues while employing resolution strategies and industry best practices. Students will gain necessary insights and skills to identify potential network risks and keep systems running smoothly. Students that complete the Network Systems Administration Associate’s degree can apply their credits toward the Information Security Bachelor’s degree program at Rasmussen College.  

Information Technology Associate’s Degree

The Information Technology Associate’s degree program prepares students to regulate and resolve issues with desktops, laptops and mobile devices. The program combines business, communication, security and technology skills with hands-on virtual labs and simulations to prepare graduates to be valuable members of the IT team. Students looking to further advance their education may transfer their credits to the Rasmussen College Information Technology Management Bachelor’s degree program.

Information Technology Management Bachelor’s Degree-completion Program

The Information Technology Management Bachelor’s Degree-completion program prepares graduates to apply and synthesize real-world information technology concepts and skills needed to be successful in numerous IT roles. Courses are project-based and mirror real-world experiences by incorporating relevant software applications, project management and hands-on labs. Graduates are prepared to enhance their resume by earning in-demand industry certifications, such as Six Sigma-Green Belt, CAPM-Certified Associate in Project Management and ITIL-Information Technology Infrastructure Library (Foundation Level).
