Why eBooks Will Make Your Life Easier

As students’ lives become busier they need all the extra time they can get to manage school and life. Textbooks are not what they used to be, and that is a good thing. Print textbooks are good, but eBooks are the way to go in 2013. So, why give up print textbooks for eBooks? They are versatile, searchable, portable and efficient, not to mention they are much easier on your back.

eBooks offer you a range of features and formats that make studying fun, and they make sense since most of us get information from the Internet these days. When you really think about how much time you spend surfing the Web, Facebook, and reading texts on your phone, why not read, listen, or watch your books the same way, digitally?

The eBooks you use for your classes offer many cool features to make the reading and studying experience more interactive. Did you know you can search all of your eBooks at the same time using the “My Bookshelf” feature? Try doing that with your print textbooks. You can also bookmark your important pages, use a transparent ruler to keep track while you read, and make notes for test reviews.

All of these features are helpful, but the “keyword search” feature is probably the biggest timesaver of them all. No more flipping through pages trying to scan for the important information. Now you just type the words/phrases in the search box, and up pops all the locations of the words/phrases you were looking for.

In addition, eBooks are portable. You can read them on your laptop, or pull them up on your smartphone or tablet. You can also download an app for any mobile device, and pull up your custom bookshelf on a whim. Don’t worry if you cannot find a wireless connection or if you only have one bar on your phone. You can “check out” the parts of the book you need to read it offline. So, before you start printing away why not try finding a cozy spot and snuggle up with an eBook?
