Students who enroll in a degree program through Rasmussen University Online and start on August 12, 2026, may be eligible for the following toward their degree at Rasmussen University:
- A grant, worth up to $600 will be divided quarterly during an eligible* student’s second and third quarters in their program, not to exceed $300 per quarter.
- Students will be billed at the standard tuition rate plus applicable fees before the grant is applied. Students are responsible for all applicable book fees.
- If a student does not meet this criterion in their first or second quarter, they are not eligible for the grant in future quarters.
- Eligibility will be verified by the Admissions/Financial Aid Office after the first quarter and second quarter, before the grant is awarded in its respective quarter.
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- *Students must remain in good academic standing (See Satisfactory Academic Progress in the catalog for details) with no remaining student payments owed on their account in order to be eligible to receive the grant.
- Grades post within 7 days of the end of the quarter.
- Balance will be reviewed on the last day of the academic quarter.
- Students must maintain continuous enrollment to remain eligible. A student who withdraws and re-enrolls may no longer be eligible for the grant.
- All entrance and acceptance requirements for the University must be met.
- Grants are non-transferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent/refund is allowed.
- Excellence Grant may be combined with other grants or scholarships offered by Rasmussen University with the exception of the Alumni Grant and the Professional Achievement Grant.
- Employees of American Public Education, Inc. (APEI) and American Public University System, Inc. (the System) and their family members are not eligible for the Excellence Grant.
- Rasmussen University reserves the right to add, discontinue or amend scholarship and grant programs at its discretion. Any student currently receiving scholarship or grant funds at the time of the amendment will be notified.
- Grant value cannot exceed tuition cost.
