Rasmussen College Employees Give Back To Local Communities And Focus On Volunteering

“At Rasmussen College, our mission is to serve our communities by recognizing the diverse needs of individuals – this goes beyond education,” said Rasmussen College President, Kristi Waite. “It is our responsibility to not only help create a positive impact through education, but also through service. We continuously work to participate in programs that benefit a variety of organizations and initiatives, and today is our day to give back.”

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college focused on delivering career-focused education, has 22 campuses throughout Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Florida, as well as an online curriculum. The College has a long history giving back to the communities it serves. Both employees and students have been recognized nationally for their partnerships with local businesses and volunteerism in the communities.

On July 20, Rasmussen College employees from the eight Minnesota campuses and central office will be volunteering with several United Way partner organizations such as Second Harvest Heartland West, Boys and Girls Club, The Arc, St. Cloud Children’s Home, Open Door Health Clinic, Again Thrift & More and Primrose Retirement Community.

In Illinois, the four campuses, as well as employees from the Chicago Central Office will be working with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Morning Star Mission and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.

The two North Dakota campuses will be partnering with the United Way and the Ronald McDonald House.

Employees from the three Wisconsin campuses will be teaming up with at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley, The Howard-Suamico Historical Society and the Boys and Girls Club.

And in Florida, employees from the six various campuses and central office will be dedicating the day to helping Tanglewood Elementary School in Fort Myers, the YMCA, Hillsborough County Park/Beach, Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay , Joshua House, United Way and the Mustard Seed of Central Florida.

Employees will be performing a wide variety of tasks include painting, landscaping, cleaning, helping with youth activities, packing school supplies and packing and organizing food for local food pantries.
