Rasmussen College Launches Accelerated Master's Pathway
New pathway designed for Human Resources and Organizational Leadership and Healthcare Management students to earn graduate-level credits while pursuing their Bachelor's degree
Minneapolis (Jan. 9, 2020) – Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced it launched its accelerated Master’s pathway for students in the Human Resources and Organizational Leadership Bachelor’s degree program looking to continue their education into the Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM) program, as well as for students in the Healthcare Management Bachelor’s degree program looking to advance into the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program.1 In this new pathway, students are able to take up to four graduate-level courses during their undergraduate program, which means they can complete one-third of their Master’s degree program while pursuing their Bachelor’s degree. The pathway shortens the amount of time required to earn a Master’s degree and can save students more than $4,000 in the process.2
“We are excited to create a new accelerated Master’s pathway to save our students time and money, allowing them to more efficiently enhance their careers and meet the leadership needs of our communities,” said Jennifer Moorhead, Rasmussen College School of Business department dean. “With the accelerated Master’s pathway, Bachelor’s degree students have the opportunity to finish their Master’s degree in as little as one additional year.”2
A Faster Path to a Master’s Degree
With the accelerated Master’s pathway, students have the opportunity to gain Master's degree credits while earning their Bachelor’s degree. Through courses designed for working professionals, Master’s degree students in the MHA and MHRM programs who utilize the accelerated pathway are able to complete their fully Competency-Based Education (CBE) program in as few as 12 months.2 CBE maximizes efficiency and relevancy while maintaining graded instruction and faculty interaction.
The accelerated Master’s pathway for each Bachelor’s program will be offered beginning in April 2020, for students who meet the appropriate criteria while enrolled in the Bachelor’s program.

2Time and cost savings are dependent on the eligible student completing both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at Rasmussen College through the Accelerated Master’s Pathway program. If a student is not eligible or chooses not to continue on to earn their Master’s degree, the cost for the Bachelor’s program is higher than for our standard Bachelor’s degree program. Savings vary based on the student completing courses on a full-time or part-time schedule.
