Rasmussen College Welcomes Debra Albert To Academic Council
Albert brings a wealth of healthcare industry knowledge and perspective to the College advisory council
MINNEAPOLIS (December 23, 2014)–Rasmussen College is pleased to welcome Debra Albert to its Academic Council. The Council, which advises the College on academic matters both within and outside the College as well as issues and trends in higher education, is made up of college and university leaders from across the country. Albert joins the Council from the University of Chicago Medicine where she currently serves as the senior vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer. Her responsibilities include overseeing the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Patient Care Services department, as well as evaluating and continuously improving patient care in support of the mission and vision of the medical center. Prior to the University of Chicago, Albert served as the chief nursing officer at MacNeal Hospital, a full-service community hospital located in the Chicago area.

Debra Albert started her nursing career in 1986 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She served in various leadership roles with the medical center until her departure in 2010. Albert became Board Certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced in 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science in nursing and Master of Science in nursing from the University of Akron. She also has a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
