  1. Certification Exam Pass Rates: ASCP BOC Certification Pass Rates are representative of Rasmussen College Medical Laboratory Technician program graduates between 7/1/2013 and 6/30/2016 who attempted and passed the BOC exam within one year of graduating. These rates are calculated by dividing the number of graduates who passed the BOC exam within one year of graduating by the number of graduates who sat for the BOC exam within one year of graduating. These rates exclude graduates who were eligible to take the exam, but did not sit for the exam. These rates were reported to the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences in the Rasmussen College November 3, 2017, report using the calculation methodology as prescribed by the accrediting body: National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, 5600 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018, 773-714-8880.
  2. Placement Rates: Placement rates are representative of Rasmussen College Medical Laboratory Technician program graduates between 7/1/2013 and 6/30/2016. Data comes from graduates who self-reported to have found employment in the field, in a closely related field and/or continued their education within one year of graduation; the number is then divided by the total number of students who graduated for which some post-graduation information was known. These rates do not specify that each graduate was placed by Rasmussen College in their current position. Some graduates find jobs on their own while others maintain previously held employment.
  3. Graduation Rates: Graduation rates are calculated by first determining the sum number of students who began the final half of the program and subsequently graduated between 7/1/2014 and 6/30/2015, 7/1/2015 and 6/30/2016, and 7/1/2016 and 6/30/2017. This sum of graduates is then divided by the difference between the sum of students who began the final half of the program and were slated to graduate within the same periods, and the sum of students currently enrolled and slated to graduate between the same periods as reported at the end of the period. Final half of the program is defined as completing half the total time to degree completion based on a student’s individual circumstances, including course load per quarter, transfer-of-credit award, and other factors that may affect an estimated graduation date. For most students, final half of the program begins in the fifth quarter of enrollment. The Mankato Campus Medical Lab Technician program closed on September 16, 2016.These rates were reported to the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences in the Rasmussen College November 3, 2017, report using the calculation methodology as prescribed by the accrediting body: National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, 5600 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018, 773-714-8880.
  4. Attrition Rates: Attrition rates are calculated by first determining the sum of students who began the final half of the program and subsequently left the program either voluntarily or involuntarily and were slated to graduate between 7/1/2014 and 6/30/2015, 7/1/2015 and 6/30/2016, and 7/1/2016 and 6/30/2017. This sum of withdrawn students is then divided by the sum of students who began the final half of the program and were slated to graduate within the same periods as reported at the end of the period. Final half of the program is defined as completing half the total time to degree completion based on a student’s individual circumstances including course load per quarter, transfer-of-credit award, and other factors that may affect an estimated graduation date. For most students, final half of the program begins in the fifth quarter of enrollment. The Mankato Campus Medical Lab Technician program closed on September 16, 2016.
