  • 1a Certification Exam Pass Rates: ASCP BOC Certification Pass Rates are representative of Rasmussen University Medical Laboratory Technician program graduates over the last three active years, which includes graduates between 7/1/2019 and 6/30/2020, 7/1/2020 and 6/30/2021, and 7/1/2021 and 6/30/2022 who attempted and passed the BOC exam within one year of graduating. This rate is calculated by dividing the number of graduates who passed the BOC exam within one year of graduating by the number of graduates who sat for the BOC exam within one year of graduating. This rate excludes graduates who were eligible to take the exam but did not sit for the exam. This rate is reflective of final data from 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. The 2021-2022 data remains active until 6/30/2023.

NAACLS Benchmark: At least 75% pass rate on ASCP-BOC exam.
  • 2a Placement Rates: Placement rates are representative of Rasmussen University Medical Laboratory Technician program graduates over the last three active years, which includes graduates between 7/1/2019 and 6/30/2020, 7/1/2020 and 6/30/2021, and 7/1/2021 and 6/30/2022. Data comes from graduates who self-reported to have found employment in the field, in a closely related field and/or continued their education within one year of graduation; the number is then divided by the total number of students who graduated for which some post-graduation information was known. This rate does not specify that each graduate was placed by Rasmussen University in their current position. Some graduates find jobs on their own while others maintain previously held employment. This rate is reflective of final data from 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. The 2021-2022 data remains active until 6/30/2023.

NAACLS Benchmark: At least 70% placement (employment in-field or continuing their education) within 12 months of graduation.
  • 3a Graduation Rates: Graduation rates are calculated by first determining the sum number of students who began the final half of the program and subsequently graduated between 7/1/2019 and 6/30/2020, 7/1/2020 and 6/30/2021, 7/1/2021 and 6/30/2022, and 7/2/2022 and 6/30/2023. This sum of graduates is then divided by the difference between the sum of students who began the final half of the program and were slated to graduate within the same periods, and the sum of students currently enrolled and slated to graduate between the same periods as reported at the end of the period. Final half of the program is defined as completing half the total time to degree completion based on a student’s individual circumstances, including course load per quarter, transfer-of-credit award, and other factors that may affect an estimated graduation date. For most students, the final half of the program begins in the fifth quarter of enrollment.

NAACLS Benchmark: At least 70% graduation rate.
